Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the LangTo document translation service ("Service") operated by Felix ("we", "us", or "our"), an individual developer, under the brand name LangTo. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

LangTo translates PDF documents while preserving their original layout, including text in charts and flowcharts and full-page scans. Every delivered document is checked by automated verification before delivery.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately at contact@langto.ai if you become aware of any unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

4. Payments

Pricing

The Service is sold per document as a one-time payment, priced per page. The exact total for your document is shown before you pay. One page of your document can be translated free before any payment.

Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record. Your receipt and payment records are issued by Paddle.

No Recurring Charges

There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. You are only charged when you explicitly pay for a document.

Refunds

If we cannot deliver a usable translated PDF for a paid order, the payment is refunded automatically to the original payment method. Other refund situations are described in our Refund Policy; statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Use the Service to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the algorithms or models underlying the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our prior written consent
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a hosted translation service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the translations produced by the Service. We claim no ownership over your content or translations.

Our Service

The Service, including its software, design, algorithms, and branding, is owned by LangTo and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.

7. Translation Quality Disclaimer

The Service uses AI models to produce translations. AI-generated translations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. The Service is not a substitute for professional human translation.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying translation output before relying on it for any purpose, including but not limited to legal, medical, financial, or regulatory matters.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any translation for any particular purpose.

8. Document Handling

  • Original and translated files are retained only to provide translation, review, and download. They are deleted automatically 90 days after upload, or earlier when you delete the document.
  • You can delete a completed, failed, or cancelled document from your account; this removes its original and translated files from storage.
  • Document content is sent to third-party AI services for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • We do not use your documents for AI model training.

9. Limitation of Liability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting contact@langto.ai.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Uploaded and translated files will be deleted in accordance with our standard retention schedule.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the parties involved. Any dispute shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting contact@langto.ai. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue remedies available under applicable law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated Terms on our website at least 14 days before they take effect.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before they take effect.
