Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds apply to purchases made at langto.ai ("LangTo", "we", "us"). It should be read alongside our Terms of Service. Your non-waivable statutory rights as a consumer always take precedence over this policy.

1. Summary

LangTo sells access to an AI-powered document translation service. Payments are generally non-refundable. The sections below describe the specific situations in which refunds or credit returns apply.

2. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the start of each billing cycle. Subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, including partial-period refunds for unused time.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Plan. When you cancel:

  • You keep full access and your remaining monthly credits until the end of the current billing period.
  • No further charges are made after the period ends.
  • No cancellation fees apply.

Monthly credit allowances do not roll over between periods.

3. Credit Packs

Credit packs are one-time purchases that add credits to your account.

  • Purchased credit packs are non-refundable once the order is completed.
  • Credit pack balances do not expire while your account is active.
  • Credit packs are consumed only after your monthly subscription credits are exhausted.
  • Upon account deletion or termination, any unused credits are forfeited and are not refundable.

4. Automatic Credit Refunds for Failed Translations

You will automatically receive a refund of credits, with no action required, when:

  • A translation job fails due to a system error on our side.
  • You cancel a translation before it completes.
  • Processing is terminated due to an unrecoverable error.

Credits are returned to your account within minutes and can be used for a new translation.

These automatic credit refunds do not apply to translations that completed successfully, even if you are dissatisfied with the output quality. AI translation quality can vary between models, languages, and document types; we recommend trying a smaller sample first. See Terms of Service §7 – Translation Quality Disclaimer for details.

5. Statutory Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal on your first purchase and on the first payment of a subscription contract under local consumer protection law.

Payments on LangTo are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as Merchant of Record, who handles statutory refund requests on our behalf. To exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, contact us at contact@langto.ai with your order reference, or follow the instructions on your payment receipt. Approved reimbursements are issued to the original payment method within 14 days.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.

6. Service Unavailability

If LangTo is materially unavailable for an extended period due to our fault, email contact@langto.ai. We will investigate and, where appropriate, issue service credits or arrange a pro-rated refund through our payment provider.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at contact@langto.ai before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. We respond to refund inquiries within 2 business days and resolve most issues without requiring a dispute.

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending resolution.

8. How to Request a Refund

For any refund request — including statutory withdrawal requests, billing errors, and service issues — email contact@langto.ai with:

  • The email address on your LangTo account
  • Your order reference or transaction date
  • A brief description of the issue

We will route the request appropriately and respond within 2 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, where required, communicated by email.
